Attend the first ever Unity Day!
June 12th - 9am to 5pm
The first meeting of the Boston Unity Group will be an extra special kick off event. Tom Higgins, Product Evangelist for Unity Technologies, will be speaking and holding an all-day talk/workshop dubbed ‘Unity Day’. Bring your laptop!
Does this event cost money?
The event is free, with the possibility of amazing prizes such as gift bags and copies of Unity Pro. We are however taking donations to help offset the cost of organizing such an event, being the scrapping indies that we are.
Do I need to be a Unity expert to attend the meetings?
No way! Our first meeting will include an introductory workshop intended to teach the ins and outs of Unity to those with medium to low domain knowledge.
5 minute Unity show-off session!
We will be showcasing some of the local Unity talent with an open mic. If you have a Unity project you'd like to show, bring a flash drive or laptop with your project and be prepared to say a quick word about it.
Schedule
9:00am - 1130am: Sponsors say a few words then Tom Higgins takes the stage to talk about Unity, covering product overview, new technologies, and future roadmap. A Unity v3 license will be raffled off!
11:30am - 12:00pm: Boston Unity Showcase - presenters get 5 MINUTES MAX to show a Unity project
12pm-1pm: Lunch in the lobby of Shillman Hall
1pm-5pm: Guided hands-on Unity tutorials for game developers, with Tom. A second Unity v3 license will be raffled, as well as some other items!!
5pm: Mass exodus to a local bar for networking and drinks
